Thank you for your decision to purchase a flooring detail measurement from Premier Services Group. After your measurement is complete the information will be sent to the Store, and Premier Services Group will create a complete quote for your review. If you have any questions regarding the detail or installation, please contact us. Outlined below is important information about the installation process. It will help you understand what to expect before, during, and after your installation project.

Product Requirements

Subfloor preparation may be required which could include new plywood and/or new cement board. In all cases, the sub-structure must meet the Tile Council of North America’s requirements. This may require additional plywood. Subfloors not level to manufacturer tolerances will need to be leveled, additional charges may apply if Independent Contractor performs this surface. Pattern ceramic requires additional product for the pattern and additional labor charges. The Independent Contractor will review the grout joint width with the customer prior to installation. Polished natural stone tiles requires unsanded grout so as not to scratch the stone during grouting. Premier Services Group and the Independent Contractor will work with the customer to determine specific requirements for counter-top edge treatment and basksplash treatment.


Acclimation is not needed for Tile installations. Any project under 150 square feet will be picked up by the Independant Contractor the morning of install. Any project over 150 square feet will require the purchase of delivery prior to installation date.

Existing Flooring Removal

If you have chosen to purchase the removal of your existing flooring through Premier Services Group, please be aware that our services do not include the removal of existing vinyl flooring in home built prior to 1986, as they main contain asbestos. Additional Charges may apply for any removal of highly stained flooring. In some cases, an Independent Contractor can install new ceramic over your existing surface, depending on the manufacturer’s requirement.

Additional Costs

While every effort is made to include all labor in your quote, please be aware that additional charges may apply once the installer has begun the installation process. Unforeseen circumstances discovered once installation begins such as damaged subfloor, we subfloor, pet urine soaked carpet, insect infested carpet, unlevel or uneven subfloors, and termite damage will result in additional charges that must be approved and paid for by the customer prior to the contractor resuming work. Furniture Moving

If  you have paid for this service, the independent Contractor will move normal household furniture on the day of installation. Please make sure any and all personal items are removed from all furniture to be moved. We also ask that you remove any glass items, including wall art. Any furniture that will not fit through a standard doorway will need to be broken down as much as possible prior to the arrival of the installer. Contractors will not move certain items such as antiques, electronics, pianos, pool tables, waterbeds, aquariums, safes, pin ball machines, exercise equipment, sleep number beds, boxes/totes etc. If you have questions regarding specific items, please feel free to reach out to us.

If you have NOT purchased furniture moving, please arrange for ALL furniture to be removed from any areas in which flooring will be installed.

Prior to Install

Unless you have paid for optional services through Premier Services Group, you should make arrangements to have your furniture moved and any existing flooring torn and and removed from all rooms receiving new flooring prior to the day of installation. 48 hours prior to installation, the areas being installed in must have climate control, power and  adequate lighting. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions of the Premier Services Group contract for more information

Please unplug all items, disconnect and remove all electronics (computers, stereos, TVs, VCR, DVD etc). Clear closet floors up to 3 feet from floor, remove items under beds, bed coverings, lamps, knick knacks, fragile or high value, sentimental and antiques. Remove glassware from China cabinets, remove books from freestanding bookcases and pictures from walls.

Day of Install

An individual 18 years of age or older must be present for both the detail and installation. The Independent Contractor will confirm the the correct new flooring with customer prior to starting job. Customer should identify any wiring in the new flooring area such as alarm, monitoring systems, home theater etc. Please ensure children and pets are not in the installation area during the installation. Potential exists for minor scuffing of baseboards/walls. Scuffing will be worse with new paint.
