Thank you for your decision to purchase a flooring detail measurement from Premier Services Group. After your measurement is complete the information will be sent to the Store, and Premier Services Group will create a complete quote for your review. If you have any questions regarding the detail or installation, please contact us. Outlined below is important information about the installation process. It will help you understand what to expect before, during, and after your installation project.
Concrete subfloors will require a moisture barrier designed for flooring. Crawl spaces must have a plastic vapor barrier in place before any installation can begin. An expansion gap is required at the perimeter of the room, at any poles, etc., to allow for normal movement. Subfloors not level to manufacturer tolerances will need to be leveled, additional charges may apply if performed by the Independent Contractor. New molding may be required to hide the edges of the flooring and cover the expansion gap
Laminate and Wood flooring both require acclimation inside of your home, per the manufacturers specifications. This requires the purchase of delivery prior to the installation date to allow the proper amount of time for acclimation. If you have any questions regarding the specific acclimation period of your product, please feel free to reach out to us.
Existing Flooring Removal
If you have chosen to purchase the removal of your existing flooring through Premier Services Group, please be aware that our services do not include the removal of existing vinyl flooring in home built prior to 1986 (2004 in Oregon), as they main contain asbestos. Additional Charges may apply for any removal of highly stained flooring.
While every effort is made to include all labor in your quote, please be aware that additional charges may apply once the installer has begun the installation process. Unforeseen circumstances discovered once installation begins such as damaged subfloor, we subfloor, pet urine soaked carpet, insect infested carpet, unlevel or uneven subfloors, and termite damage will result in additional charges that must be approved and paid for by the customer prior to the contractor resuming work. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions of the Premier Services Group customer contract for more information.
If you have paid for this service, the independent Contractor will move normal household furniture on the day of installation.
